Description: This art project is for International Dot Day, a celebration of the classic children's book The Dot, by Peter H. Reynolds. For this project, we used markers, oil pastels, and watercolor paint. The goal of this project was to make a unique dot using all of these materials.
Extension: For an extension activity, I would have my students go on a 'dot hunt' and try to find as many dots around the school that they can. Once everyone is 'dotted' out, we would add them all up and create a graph together on the different types of dots we found.
