Description: This paper weaving project required three different colored sheets of construction paper, glue, scissors, a ruler, and a writing utensil. We used "under, over" and "over, under" processes to weave the two different colors into the main one. As students created the weaving project, the teacher discussed the history of weaving in nature and human cultures.
Extension: For an extension activity, students can write more about the colors they chose and why. They can write three different paragraphs, one for each color, to explain what the colors represent to them. They can further this by explaining why the ideas they chose represent them.
